What this website is for
dotfive.tv presents DotFive, the service production company of Glassy Films for international productions shooting in Spain, and lets you get in touch with us. You can browse it freely and without registering. You cannot buy or hire anything through this website: every project is agreed separately, with its own budget and conditions.
Terms of use
By browsing this website you accept this legal notice. Please use the website and its content lawfully and in good faith. In particular, do not:
- use it in a way that could damage it, overload it or stop other people from using it;
- try to access parts of the website or of our systems that are not public;
- send automated or bulk messages through the form;
- copy or reuse its content in breach of the next section.
We may change the content and design of the website, or stop it for a while, at any time. The legal notice that applies to each visit is the one published here on that date.
Intellectual and industrial property
The design, code, texts and graphic elements of this website belong to Glassy Films or are used under licence.
The videos and photographs show work that we have produced for our clients and moments from our shoots. Their rights belong to Glassy Films and, depending on each case, to the brands, agencies, directors, performers, musicians and other people who took part in them. We show them as part of our portfolio, with the permission of their owners or within the limits agreed with them.
You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly communicate or transform any of this content, in whole or in part, without the written permission of its owners, except where the law allows it (for example, for private use or to quote it). Sharing a link to this website is always welcome.
If you think that something on this website infringes your rights, write to us at [email protected]. We will look into it and, if you are right, we will remove it.
Liability
We try to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but it is general information: it is not an offer and it does not bind us until we agree a project with you. We cannot guarantee that the website will always be available or free of errors, and we are not liable for damage caused by interruptions, viruses or attacks beyond our reasonable control, or by any use of the website that goes against this notice or the law.
Links to other websites
This website links to other sites: the websites of Glassy Films and its other brands (Tasty Studio, KONTENT and IDEM), the Vimeo player (where the full videos open) and our Instagram and LinkedIn profiles. We do not control them, so we are not responsible for their content, their availability or the way they handle your data. Each of them has its own legal notice, privacy policy and cookie policy.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. Any dispute about this website will be decided by the courts of Barcelona (Spain), unless the law entitles you, as a consumer, to go to the courts of your place of residence.
Changes to this notice
We may update this page when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
Privacy
This section explains what personal data we collect through dotfive.tv, what we use it for and on what legal basis, how long we keep it, who receives it and how you can exercise your rights. We have tried to say it plainly.
The short version
- We only use the data you send us to answer you and, if you ask for it, to send you news.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
- We keep the messages from the form for 24 months and then delete them automatically.
- Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time.
- You can access, correct or delete your data whenever you want by writing to [email protected].
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is:
Company name: GLASSY FILMS, S.L.
Registered office: Calle Pau Claris 167, 1º 2ª A, 08037 Barcelona, Spain
Tax ID (NIF): B65514747
Registered in the Barcelona Commercial Registry, volume 42.475, folio 67, sheet B-409515
Email: [email protected]
For anything related to your data, write to [email protected]. We have not appointed a data protection officer because, given the kind and amount of data we handle, the law does not require it; your message will reach the people in charge directly.
When you fill in the contact form
- What data: your full name, your company, your email address, the city where you plan to shoot, the type of shoot and your message or brief, and the box confirming that you have read this information. If you tick the box to receive news, we also keep that consent. With the form we also receive the date, the page and the button from which you sent it, the language of your browser and the country you are connecting from, which our hosting provider works out from your IP address. We do not keep your IP address.
- What for: to answer your enquiry and, if you ask for it, to prepare a proposal or a budget. If we end up working together, to manage the project and invoice it.
- Legal basis: your own request, because we take the steps you ask for before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering the professional enquiries we receive, for example when you write on behalf of a company. If we work together, the performance of the contract and our accounting and tax obligations.
- Is it compulsory? All the fields of the form are required, except the box to receive news. Without the required data we cannot answer you through the form; if you prefer, write to [email protected] and tell us whatever you choose.
- How long we keep it: 24 months from the day you send it. After that, it is deleted automatically from our spreadsheet, and we also delete the notice that reaches our inbox. If we end up working together, we keep what the project needs for as long as the law requires (for example, six years for accounting and commercial records).
- Who receives it: the form travels through Cloudflare, which hosts this website, to a Google spreadsheet (Google Workspace), which sends us a notice by email to [email protected]. No one else, unless the law requires it.
To stop spam, the form has a hidden field that only robots fill in and checks how long it takes to send. We do not use external anti-spam services and we do not store anything else for this.
If your message includes data about other people (for example, members of your team), make sure you can share it with us and tell them about this policy.
When you write to us by email or WhatsApp
- What data: your email address or your phone number and the name on your WhatsApp profile, and whatever you include in your message.
- What for and legal basis: the same as for the form: to answer you, because you have asked us to, and in our legitimate interest in replying to professional enquiries. If we work together, to manage the project.
- How long we keep it: for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and its follow-up and, if it leads to a project, for as long as the law requires.
- Who receives it: our email provider, Google (Google Workspace). If you write to us on WhatsApp, at the number shown on this website for clients in the United States, your messages go through WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited, part of Meta), which handles them as the provider of that service, under its own terms and privacy policy.
If you ask to receive news
The form has an optional box to receive news about DotFive by email, which Glassy Films sends. It is unticked: you decide whether to tick it, and sending the form without ticking it does not subscribe you to anything.
- What data: your name, your email address and the record of your consent: the date and the form from which you gave it.
- What for: to send you, from time to time, news about DotFive by email: our work, projects and services.
- Legal basis: your consent.
- How to withdraw it: as easily as you gave it, at any time: with the unsubscribe link that every email will include, or by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the emails sent before.
- How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe. After 24 months, the rest of your form message is deleted as explained above, and for this purpose we only keep your name, your email address and the record of your consent.
- Who receives it: Google (Google Workspace), where we keep the list. If we start using an email-sending platform, we will name it in this policy before we use it.
Statistics, only if you accept them
- What data: the pages you visit and for how long, how you got here (for example, from a search engine or a link), what you do on the page (such as following a link to another website or clicking an email address, or sending the form, without its content), your approximate location (country and city), your language, the type of device and browser, and a random identifier stored in the Google Analytics cookies. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses: it uses them at the moment of your visit to estimate your location.
- What for: to know how many people visit the website and which content is most useful to them, so we can improve it. We have switched off Google Signals and the advertising features: we do not use your visit to show you ads, we do not combine it with other data about you and we do not send Google what you write in the form.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give by clicking Accept in the cookie banner. It is optional: if you click Reject, or do not choose, Google Analytics does not load.
- How to withdraw it: at any time, from "Cookies" at the bottom of every page or with the button in the Cookies section. We stop measuring at once and delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the measurement made before.
- How long we keep it: Google Analytics keeps the data of each visit for 14 months. The cookies last up to two years in your browser, unless you delete them or withdraw your consent first.
- Who receives it: Google Ireland Limited, which provides Google Analytics as our processor. Google LLC may access the data from the United States (see International transfers).
When you open a video
The videos that play on the page are served from this website itself. When you open a full video, it plays in the Vimeo player, which loads from Vimeo's servers.
- What data: as with any website you visit, Vimeo receives your IP address and technical data about your browser and device, and it may store the security cookies described in the Cookies section.
- What for and legal basis: to play the video you have asked to see, in our legitimate interest in showing our work. We load the player in Vimeo's "do not track" mode, which tells Vimeo not to track your session or collect statistics about your visit.
- Who receives it: Vimeo.com, Inc. (United States), which handles these data under its own privacy policy.
When you browse the website
This website is hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). To deliver the pages and protect them from attacks and abuse, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical data of each request, such as the date and time, the page requested and your browser. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the website available and secure. Cloudflare keeps these records for a short time, as set out in its policies, and we do not use them to identify you.
Social media and other websites
This website does not include social media buttons, widgets or pixels. If you follow the links to our profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn, or to other websites, those platforms handle your data under their own policies.
Who receives your data
We do not sell your data or give it to anyone for their own purposes. To run this website we rely on providers that process data on our behalf, only following our instructions and under contracts that oblige them to protect it:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and delivers the form.
- Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) provides our email and the spreadsheet where the form messages are saved (Google Workspace) and, only if you accept it, Google Analytics.
When you open a full video, Vimeo.com, Inc. receives the data described above as the provider of its player, under its own privacy policy.
If you write to us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Ireland Limited (part of Meta) handles your messages as the provider of that service, under its own terms.
Apart from them, we only share data when a law requires it, for example with the tax authorities or the courts.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in the United States or may access the data from there (Cloudflare, Google, Vimeo and Meta). These transfers are covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for the companies certified under it, or by the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission, which these providers include in their data protection terms. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards at [email protected].
How long we keep your data, in one place
- Messages from the form and their email notice: 24 months, then they are deleted automatically.
- Emails and messages you send us directly: for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.
- Your consent to receive news, with your name and email address: until you unsubscribe.
- Data of a project, if we work together: for as long as the law requires (for example, six years for accounting and commercial records).
- Statistics: 14 months in Google Analytics; its cookies, up to two years in your browser.
- Your choice in the cookie banner: 12 months in your browser.
Your rights
You can exercise these rights at any time, free of charge:
- Access: know whether we process data about you and get a copy.
- Rectification: correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data, for example when we no longer need it.
- Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interest. You can always object to receiving news.
- Restriction: ask us to keep your data but not use it while we check a request or a claim.
- Portability: receive the data you gave us in a structured, commonly used format, or ask us to send it to someone else, when we process it based on your consent or a contract and by automated means.
- Withdraw your consent (for the news and for the statistics) at any time, without affecting the processing carried out before.
To exercise them, write to [email protected] and tell us which right you want to exercise. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask you for information to confirm it. We will reply within one month; if your request is complex or we receive many, we may extend this by two more months, and we will tell you why.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es). We would be grateful if you told us first, so we can try to fix it.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not build profiles of you.
Minors
This website is aimed at companies and professionals. If you are under 14, do not send us your data or accept analytics cookies: Spanish law requires the consent of your parents or guardians. If we find out that we have received data from a child under 14 without that consent, we will delete it.
How we protect your data
The website works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only the people at Glassy Films who need your data can access it, and our providers apply the security measures set out in their contracts with us.
Changes to the privacy policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
Cookies
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in a similar way and follow the same rules, so we explain them here too.
Some cookies are technical: the website, or a service you ask for, needs them to work, and they do not require your consent. Others, such as analytics cookies, are only used if you accept them.
What this website uses
When you arrive, dotfive.tv does not store any cookie or load any Google code. We only use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) if you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you open a full video, the Vimeo player may store technical security cookies, which do not require consent. We do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, Google Tag Manager or any other tracking technology.
List of cookies and similar technologies
| Name | Whose it is | What it is for and when it is saved | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| glassy_cookies | Glassy Films (our own) | Remembers your choice in the cookie banner. Saved in your browser's local storage when you click Accept or Reject; it is never sent to any server. | 12 months, then we ask again | Technical. No consent needed |
| _ga | Google (third party), under this website's domain | Tells visitors apart with a random identifier, to count visits. Only if you accept statistics. | 2 years | Analytics. Needs your consent |
| _ga_0LKPF03F2B | Google (third party), under this website's domain | Keeps the state of your visit for the statistics. Only if you accept statistics. | 2 years | Analytics. Needs your consent |
| __cf_bm | Vimeo, through Cloudflare (third party, vimeo.com) | Tells people from bots, to protect the Vimeo player. Saved when you open a full video. | 30 minutes | Technical (security). No consent needed |
| cf_clearance, __cf_ob | Vimeo, through Cloudflare (third party, vimeo.com) | Remember that your browser has passed a security check. Only if Cloudflare runs one when you open a full video. | cf_clearance, up to 1 year; __cf_ob, until you close the browser | Technical (security). No consent needed |
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a service of Google Ireland Limited that we use, only with your consent, to count visits and understand which content is most useful. Its cookies are saved under this website's domain but are managed by Google, so we list them as third-party cookies. We have set it up without Google Signals and without advertising features, and it keeps the data for 14 months. Google LLC may access the data from the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can read how Google uses data from the websites that use its services at policies.google.com.
Vimeo videos
The videos that play on the page are served from this website. The full videos open in the Vimeo player in "do not track" mode, which tells Vimeo not to track your session or collect statistics. Even so, Vimeo protects its player with Cloudflare, which stores the __cf_bm cookie for 30 minutes to tell people from bots and, if it needs to run a security check, cf_clearance and __cf_ob. They are security cookies that the player you have asked to open needs in order to work, so they do not require consent. More information in Vimeo's cookie policy.
How to accept, reject or change your choice
- In the banner: the first time you visit, you can click Accept or Reject. Both buttons are the same size and at the same level, so rejecting is as easy as accepting. Until you choose, Google Analytics does not load.
- Later: click "Cookies" at the bottom of any page, or the button below, to open the banner again and change your choice. If you withdraw your consent, we stop measuring at once and delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
- In your browser: you can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. If you block all cookies, some services, such as the Vimeo player, may not work.
- For how long: we keep your choice for 12 months; after that, we ask you again.
Fonts, images and links
The fonts, images and videos you see on the page are served from this website itself, without third-party services such as Google Fonts. The links to our social media profiles open other websites, which apply their own cookie policies.
Changes to the cookie policy
If we start using other cookies, we will add them to this list and, if they need your consent, we will ask for it again.
